Pros

Personal fulfilling work in working with this community. You can really make a difference in people's lives. Great benefits

Cons

Workload is unmanageable to deliver quality work. Job seems to overrun your life and life outside of work becomes doing extra self-care in order to handle the amount of work you need to do (no work-life balance)

Pros

Somewhat flexible scheduling, good camaraderie between non-management employees, union representation, decent salaries for the non-profit world.

Cons

Lack of leadership demonstrated by key individuals in management. Horribly bureaucratic. Technologically stuck in the stone age. Veteran employees treated like garbage. New employees overworked. Arrogant management. Very antagonistic relationship between management and union.
