Pros

They are always available if you need something, and provide all the tools you need to succeed. You work at your own time and pace.

Cons

No real cons, maybe if they provided fresher leads so you wouldn't need to purchase them. Shipping the terminals will sometimes take longer than expected but you could always pay the difference and have it shipped over night.

Great place, so far

Pros

I've been at North American Bancard for just under a year and I really don't have any complaints so far, other than I haven't yet met CEO Marc Gardner. My coworkers are friendly, my boss is very knowledgeable and encouraging, and it just seems to be a great atmosphere, overall. I am paid well for my position, and the benefits are good, too - beyond medical, vision and dental (first place I've EVER worked that has both dental AND vision benefits!), we have 401K (50% match up to $3,500 annually), vacations and personal days, a relaxed dress code (I wear jeans every day!), TV's tuned to different channels lining the hallways, and free coffee, slushies and popcorn. The building is newer and has nice decor, which I consider a benefit. Plus, every day the company brings in local restaurants, food trucks and caterers for breakfast and lunch. Some are better than others, but it's nice to know that if you're running late in the morning and don't have time for breakfast, or you forget your lunch, you don't have to fight the mall traffic and traffic getting on and off I-75 to get a bite to eat.

Cons

Just a couple of things I can think of - 1. The employee portion of the medical benefits is a bit on the pricey side. There are several options, and I signed up for the lowest deductible plan, so I expect to pay more than someone who signed up for one of the higher deductible plans. But I am paying just about the same amount I was when I was carrying my own independent plan, which I thought was too high. 2. Personal days. We only get three a year, which IMO is a little skimpy. Most people I know get at least five. It would be nice to have a couple more, just to have a little extra security, so when you get sick and want to stay home, you don't wonder if you're "sick enough" to burn through a personal day or not. Or if you want or need a day off, outside of a vacation, like for a doctor's appointment or a repair man.

We appreciate you taking the time to provide this feedback. We are happy to see that you are pleased with the work you are doing in addition to the variety of fun offerings provided by the company. The out-of-pocket cost incurred by our employees for health insurance and other benefits is always top of mind and is being reviewed on a regular basis. We are striving to make improvements where possible in the near future.
