On the job training, Easy to transfer and get into other job roles once your foot is in the door.

Cons

Disconnect between upper management and lower staff. Pay scale not competitive. High workload, taking on tasks outside of job role. If you are trained in other fields, you will be pulled often to cover callouts, when short staffed or expected to cover your own work and other people's tasks and no back up to cover your own absences. High turnover.
