Poor communication between upper management and "working class" A lot of politics between departments Departments work in silo's A lot of "red tape" making it difficult to make improvements New hire process takes forever Difficult financial times (like most health systems)

1. People that work there care about the patient's and their co-workers. 2. Management listens 3. Small enough to care about the details, but large enough to be able to provide excellent care. 4. Long term employement is rewarded 5. Staff care about each other, you are a part of a team. 6. They live their values daily.

Cons

1. The non-profit communiy hospital environment in California can be frustrating because you have limited financial resources. 2. Would like them to be able to provide medical benefits to retirees.
