Pros

One what I enjoy about Northeast Security is the communication level and the support I receive from the upper management at Northeast Security. You are given the opportunity and resources to succeed. Northeast does a great job promoting internally for mid- to mid-senior-level roles they have open. The company wants to see employees grow and expand on their careers if they looking in security.

Cons

This isn't negative but It depends on the property you oversee as AM. Most property clients are expecting results right away and you need to hit the ground running when you start.

Lacks diversity in upper management

Pros

Easy assignments, offers some room for growth. You can easily become a supervisor at your site or even an account manager within a year or two. There is always overtime and if you take advantage of the overtime you will become highly favored for a supervisor position. But you have to open/flexible. Sacrifice is necessary. Yearly pay increases yearly as a union employee.

Cons

Females staff constantly face harassment that many times goes unreported because of evidence of retaliation. There are just too many stories of sexual harassment. The uppermanagent lacks diversity in gender and race. When the company loses a contract with the building which happens often, you may find yourself laid off until they find you a new location. Some building management can be really uptight and plain rude and if they don't like you for any reason they can have you removed from the site with no questions asked. In these cases being apart of the union does not matter. Favoritism is a constant problem when trying to move up in this work place. Non union employees are likely to receive minimum wage with no benefits.
