Not much investment in professional development. No focus on retention. Very difficult to move up. Salaries not the best..

quickly growing school is no longer a very fun place to work

Pros

Campus location and neighborhood are fairly nice. I have meet great people that work for or with the university at almost all levels, and many of these people have been around the school for quite a while in various capacities. (these people are more often than not leaving the school rapidly) Meager financial compensation across the board (good benefits - bad money)

Cons

Since the new senior leadership have been running the show at the school senior staff all across the university is turning over at an incredible rate. In the past 8-10 years what was an excellent place of learning with a blue-collar attitude is now a high-strung work environment with an even tighter budget and a terrible faux nobility attitude.
