Pros

I work in a research group with great people. I have as much freedom and as much support as I like. The salary is competitive and I was able to get additional funding for moving abroad to do research. I have not spent much time in Boston, but that is also a clear plus.

Cons

I cannot really think of any cons. I work with great people, I have a lot of freedom, I have support, and the pay is competitive; what can I say? There is a bit of bureaucracy, but not any more than the same job at other places.

Pros

Diverse work environment. Somewhat flexible schedule, with a few fridays off in the summer. Good education benefits, for employees and their families.

Cons

The pay is lower than the market. Tuition and senior leadership pay on the way up. Disappearing benefits. There is a disconnect from the faculty/staff that make the university run.
