Good products, bad leadership

Pros

Most products are visible to everyone in daily life. Cars. trucks, motorcyckes, boats, airplanes, computers, appliances, phones, medical and scientific instruments, all use these products. Wide variety of jobs keeps work interesting. ANYone can get a job here (they don't even interview until orientation).

Cons

Rude, hot-headed, unprofessional, leadership. Nobody to trust. Most of production area management are related to each other, and they seem to want to keep advancement in the family. One particular minority flaunts its ability to ignore the rules and to take advantage of that part of company favoritism. Then they accuse good people of discrimination just to make trouble and intimidate others. Other forms of favoritism also override application of rules. If you are "in," you can do no wrong. If you are "out," you can do no right. The quickest way to be "out" is to socially displease someone who is "in" or to point out a problem in management. Facilities and most equipment are outdated and poorly maintained. Management makes poor decisions in organization, staffing, promotion, dismissal, retention, order planning, logistics, scheduling, and most likely many other areas. The results of their blunders are blamed on the workforce. Unrealistic scheduling is made worse by the fact nobody wants to apply unless it is their last resort. Can't get or keep good workers. Union is a joke. Low pay, ONE break in a ten-hour day. Workers treated like children or worse. This is the short list.
