Pros

Decent pay for a new grad

Cons

Pay doesn't increase as years increase. Promotions are not standard across all HFS teams, so people with similar experience will have different titles across teams. Very quiet office. Tough to build a network of coworkers when nobody seems to talk around the office, you could literally hear a pin drop most days. Working from home in quarantine has not changed the amount of interaction between my team and I

Not a good long term place for millennials and college grads.

Pros

Steady paycheck, some managers are great people

Cons

1. Pay is based on tenure, not results. Your salary will be much lower than your peers, even if you outperform them. 2. Your work ethic and energy will be exploited and senior management will take credit for how good the firm's margins are. 3. Lack of age/gender diversity in management. 4. A fixed pension that becomes vested after 5 years is not a good benefit for a young employee who has decades of market appreciation ahead of them. 5.. Work from home limited in certain roles.
