Pros

Solving tough problems. Work in a team. Gain knowledge in several technical and business areas. May be noticed sometimes for any award.

Cons

Seven layers of managers. Lack of leadership in most managers. Ruthless and brutal. Lack of appreciation for a job well done.

Pros

Good benefit plan Company seems to want to retain good employees New CEO seems to be working very hard to improve employee perception of the company Many training opportunities

Cons

No defined career paths minimal salary increases At the end of a program/contract company does not help much in finding a new position; they have a site to post your resume, but unless you hold a Top Secret clearance hiring managers do not seem to look at it. HR reps do not help employees and report any conversations to management
