Pros

Flexible work week (9/80 every other Friday off) Employees are knowledgable and willing to share their expertiese 100% Tuition Reimbursement for Technical Degrees (MS, PhD) Builds world class technology products

Cons

Casual (i.e. unpaid) Over-time is the norm Promotions promised and then never received Jobs vacated by retirees are filled by college new hires, but the new hires make half of the pay but are expected to complete all the same tasks as the previous employee, this makes for real quick burnout Many office areas are lackluster and old, some renovations are in process, but turning into a cubicle city, which results in loud and noisy workspaces in which it is difficult to conduct work Lacking in adaquate facilities for nursing/lactating mothers Only four days of sick pay allotted per year

Pros

Excellent place to launch or grow a career, a lot of programs available to promote individual development, ample opportunities for advancement

Cons

can be highly bureaucratic, which greatly decreases ability to be innovative. the senior leadership is trying very hard to improve, but change is slow and hard in the culture
