- Benefits are affordable for yourself and your family - Room to learn a lot

Cons

- Team was stuck in a very small, congested office - Employees do not work your typical 9-5, they work 10-14 hours daily, plus weekends to manage projects - The team was so overwhelmed and almost everyone had anxiety or saw a therapist - The workload was extreme; clearly, they were understaffed - No work-life balance. Someone said "my child is old enough to raise themselves" - Those who have been there for lengthy periods and have watched the company grow, withhold information from the newer employees which created a hostile environment - They promote diversity and inclusion but it is clear that their teams are separated by race, socioeconomic status, and seniority - Favoritism and nepotism: People hire their family members and friends to work on the same team and it created hostility when the blue-collar workers tried to address management's behavior - Punishment for managers who violate blue-collar workers' contracts is not taken seriously and is unjust in comparison to blue-collars violating their contract for management (unfair practices)

Northwell is a toxic work environment for physicians. They treat us like garbage.

Pros

There are no reasons to work here. The conditions are awful. The company is run by hundreds of mediocre people who cannot get anything done. Talk everyone does all day is have meetings. They have meetings about having meetings.

Cons

Patient care truly suffers at the expense of money. Secrecy amongst managers. Inefficiency. Meetings that never accomplish anything. The hospital doesn’t know how to bill anything, so they just pay doctors less. They do not care about their doctors. It was a huge mistake coming here.

If you work at one of their union hospitals the benefits are outstanding. The salary is fair, they offer some tuition reimbursement, generous PTO.

Cons

Terrible administration (only some locations-Forest Hills for ex.), absolutely no support for staff from management, dangerously understaffed in multiple departments/job titles, some units are very "clicky" and cut-throat, a lot of tension between cultural groups, pressure from certain providers to do things out of your scope of practice, lack of respect, this location does not value its RNs or employees. They claim they support continuing your education (job-related) but really don't
