      Pros

      Many opportunities to change careers within one organization. Very professional atmosphere, but still room for light-hearted employee camaraderie. Not cut-throat. Educational opportunities to develop are always available and encouraged.

      Cons

      Pay is low, especially for employees who started out as entry-level and worked their way up. Men are paid significantly higher salaries, but where isn't this true I guess. Change comes slow or is sometimes too reactive and not thought through just to create the next "thing" to solve an issue.

      This company truly does the right thing for both policyowners and employees. People that work here believe in their purpose - bringing financial security to our clients - and are hugely generous and caring. There is a strong sense of ethics and pride in the way we do business. Credible, trustworthy, strong - an exceptional place to work. I always feel proud when I say I work here, particularly over the past year.

      Cons

      What you probably find in most corporate environments: resistant to change and lack of direct communication. We are often stuck in a rut of "that's the way we have always done things." We are behind the times in innovation and technology. Some areas are very territorial. Approach to dress code isn't necessary anymore - trust us.
