Pros

-Freedom to work on your own hours. -Northwestern Mutual is in the top of the industry, so you know the product you are selling is the best.

Cons

-They want you to call your family and close friends to sell life insurance and other products. -Building your book from the ground up without any actual assistance to get leads.

Pros

- Unlimited income potential (seriously, some of these guys & gals do VERY well) - Ability to set your own schedule (95% of your week is completely under your control) - Opportunity to positively impact someone every day (my favorite part of the job)

Cons

- No guaranteed income (100% commission with a little start-up help) - High stress (mainly from the feelings of micromanagement in the beginning) - 'Selling' people instead of helping them (you hardly survive in this business otherwise)
