      The best insurance carrier in the U.S.

      Pros

      The company is the highest rated insurance company in the industry there. It is extremely well respected in the financial sector. The caleber of employees are exceptional. The company is very transparent in its operations - annually they have a committee of policy holders come and give feedback on the companies financials and service.

      Cons

      The corporate office is in Milwaukee, Wisconsin so if you do not like to see all four seasons (especially) the winter it would be tough to relocate there. However, if you have the enterprenuerial spirit then you can enter the field force and work anywhere in the U.S.

      The training is exceptional, I've been with a couple of Fortune 500 companies; UBS, Pershing and JP Morgan Chase and the commitment to excellence instilled here at Northwestern Mutual is contagious! The mentoring of new representatives is the building blocks towards becoming successful in a competitive industry! The mentoring relationship enables a new representative to display the confidence necessary to build the life-long relationships with new clients to build towards the ultimate goal of financial security, I've been privileged to have one of the most successful senior representatives as my mentor and he has done a wonderful job keeping me focused on becoming a permanent fixture in Northwestern Mutual. The reputation of the company is impeccable and it gives value to my position. During our present economic crisis, the need for educated and ethical financial professional is a necessity. At Northwestern Mutual it is a requirement to always do what is right for the client and that's what makes me proud to be a financial representative for the company!

      Honestly, only having 24 hours a day to do my job!

      Income potential... tremendous impact on the people we help.... If you're in this business for the right reasons, it can be a very rewarding career. How many people do you know that would like to have their own business? How many people actually go for it? In my experience, there aren't many who can take that leap of faith. Northwestern Mutual helps you build a business from the ground up with proven methods that have made this company the most admired in the financial world.

      It's hard work getting a business going... alot of sharp people can't stick with it long enough.
