      Don't get fooled by the sugar coating

      Pros

      Great mutual company in the best interest of their policy holders. The financial service products able to offer clients are top notch.

      Cons

      Initially you are told that you are running your own business however this opportunity is realistic in years 3-5. Takes plenty of your own funding which yields a high turnover rate however this is abou tthe norm for any financial services company. Management is very weak and rely on their team for their own personal production.

      Great training program and support. Product is superior to market alternatives.

      Cons

      Support from management is correlated to your immediate production. Many opportunities are missed by Northwestern because of this.

      Pros

      Great atmosphere and opportunity if you are willing to work for 100% commission, you sell you'll make a ton of money, you don't sell, you'll be broke and forced to have a second job.

      Cons

      Lots of pressure, no salary, forces you to sell your friends to keep your job, and even if you sell, theres a chance you still might not make any money.
