Pros

Wonderful teaching experience and a job that mostly accommodates your school-work balance. Depending on the professor you are assigned to, it can be a truly insightful and fulfilling job.

Cons

Variable experiences depending on what professor you are assigned to. Sometimes I have worked more than 20 hours with no extra compensation due to a professor disproportionately assigning workloads. Additionally, you can not get paid for more than 20 hours a week. So if you get behind or get assigned more than 20 hours worth of work - it is unfortunate.
