So it is that time of the year again. The unwashed masses get a form letter to tell them that despite Northwestern giving themselves a healthy raise again this year (in the form of increased tuition), the staff that actually "works" will get a couple of percents thrown at them as a gesture of dismissal. Hello - job market? Hello - cost of living? Nope, don't care. Meanwhile, the Dean's Office and faculty members formed a conga line a few months ago to get their share of "market adjustments" and "retention pay" When asked, the administration denies this even goes on, but people talk and people leave documents out in the open...

They treat you like crap and think everyone is utterly replaceable. If you want to get paid like crap and treated like crap then this is the place for you
