The work environment can be somewhat negative depending on the department. When you have a research position you work directly with a lot of different physicians and staff and there are a lot of egos that you have to break through to be able to get your work done. Don't expect a "Thank you" from your superiors because that is not the culture here. You can be accused of something and because ou are on a lower level position, it automatically becomes true and your fault.
