Pros

Great Salary potential, good benefits, some great coworkers, and staff mostly works together well.

Cons

No room for growth, some toxic “good ol boy” behavior that has been perpetuated through the years by a backwards southern attitude and culture.

Pros

Good healthcare insurance / benefits, flexible schedules. Liked the company and most of the team was wonderful and got along great.

Cons

Employees were allowed to bully and make for a toxic work environment without repercussion. This kind of behavior is unacceptable and should not go unchecked . No incentive to work harder, everyone got the same yearly 3% raise regardless of your efforts, which basically only keeps up with inflation.

Pros

PTO starts at 4 hours per week if you work 40 hours in that week. If unused by the end of the year it rolls over to the next, but there is a maximum amount of PTO hours that you can accrue. Once you get to that max amount you will need to use some of those hours because it will not continue to accrue. The hourly pay is so much more at Novant than it is at Atrium.

Cons

The upper level management is constantly changing policies and procedures and they are not always feasible. Management takes the patient's side over the employee no matter the circumstances. They force you to take a lunch break even though it is not required by the state of NC. Management blatantly shows favoritism towards some employees and constantly criticizes others. I sat down in my manager's office and I asked my manager for help because 4 nurses that I worked with were harassing me every day that I worked. My manager told me she didn't want to get involved and to settle it myself. If your spouse is employed and working they are not allowed to be on your insurance through the company. The CEO and upper management get 6 to 7 figure bonuses and give their employees a bonus of 1% of the previous year's salary & they tax it so you don't even get that amount. So if you make 50k your bonus is $500 minus taxes. We are the ones doing all the work and they get paid ridiculous amounts of money for basically doing nothing.
