Company with potential, not certain it will ever see it though

Pros

Small company with opportunities in expand in a lot of areas. Pay is good for the small town of Corvallis (not great by engineer's national levels however). Get 100% vested stock options right away. Corvallis office employees have access to HP's gym which is pretty good for its size. Technology, while not the best, is fairly recent and seems to be slowly but consistently improving.

Cons

Management doesn't seem to fully grasp what their "underlings" are capable of doing, or even actually doing most of the time. Not a lot of respect for junior engineers and what they're contributing. Very much a who you know style club. If you're friends with the right supervisors you're good, if you're not then life is going to suck.

Pros

Everyone seems to be very enthusiastic about the product. Coworkers are some of the smartest you will find in the nuclear industry. Product design is unique and interesting. Engineers are often given the flexibility to design things as they see fit.

Cons

Communication is terrible. It's very difficult to get people to sign off on work in a timely manner. Upper management is not trustworthy. Company has high ambitions to make this product a reality with little real world manufacturing experience.

Good place to work if you come from a nuclear background

Pros

Remote work options available which is great.

Cons

Not valued for academic credentials. Management only cares about how many years of work experience you have. Management is highly disorganized and constantly moving the goal post.
