Pros

Remote, WFH accomodations by the company

Cons

Company salaries are at minimum 20% below market average. Currently tech jobs are being outsourced to India. So if you just joined a team with existing team members in North America, your job is eventually going to get outsourced as company is significantly on a cost cutting path. CEO is a pathological liar who explicitly mentioned that folks will be given time to transition to other roles. On the other hand, company immediately cut 10-15% of its work force. Core Insights product is no longer competitive in the market. Management tried to come up with data related initiatives which failed to sell as sales team could not meet targets. In all hands calls, management will conveniently spin the story that everything is going well, when in reality, it's the opposite.

Pros

At the beginning Numerator was considerate towards the growth of the employees including the team leads and managers. The reason behind this was an extremely understanding leadership which was focused on the growth of employees. However the admired leadership changed it's direction soon.

Cons

Numerator boasts of being an employee centric company, which is only true if you are at an associate level. The managers and leads of the company are not heard, not included in major decision making and there exists a poor communication throughout the organisation. Promotion based on bias and favouritism has now started at the company. Company has been laying off staff under different reasons and forcing them to resign without have solid grounds to do so. There is no work life balance.

Pros

Huge Building Cultural Diversification is good Young population of employees

Cons

1. Work: Though it is a research organization, but the work is very much like a BPO. The work culture is also like a BPO. Especially if the employees are based out in India. 2. Leave: While US or Canadian employees are not working on their national holidays such as Independence Day or on Christmas, here in India, you are not entitled to get those National Holidays. Though National Holidays are listed in the leave roster, but still, some of the team members had to work on those days. Festival? Forget about that too. They made us work on our festivals like Navratri, Ganesh Chaturthi or even in Holi. 3. Salary: Extremely poor. As most of the employees are working here as Data Associate and as for many this is the first job, they are happy with the lesser salary. But the fact remains the same. Salary is very poor. Increments are poor. 4. Promotion: Almost no promotion. For the entry level associates there are plenty of opportunities. But at the higher level, they do not promote you unless and until someone from the higher level quitting the organization. One can perform extremely well year after year. But still she will not be promoted. She will not get proper increments as well. Also, salary and promotion are not linked with individual's past experiences or seniority. During my tenure of 4 years, I was rated as the best performer within the process continuously for 3 years. Still no promotion was given. 5. Learning Experience: Very low. One can of course will learn about different products , about their different information from US or Canadian Market. But after that, there is nothing. No scope to work on any new project, or no scope to develop anything new, or no scope to understand the requirements from the clients. As those tasks are being taken care by the US and Canada team directly. Even senior leaders are not taking any session to train others. 6. Outlook of Senior Leaders: Most of the senior leaders have no knowledge of actual work or the client's requirement or about the deadlines. Those responsibilities are given to team leaders only. Team Leaders or Data leads have to work almost everyday, even on their week offs. We needed to resolve various issues at floor. But while we faced any issues, we did not get any proper responses from our Managers or Senior Managers, as they do not have proper idea of the process. 7. HR: Always listens to the associates. If the associate is wrong, still they somehow support the associate. They do not wanted to listen to the TL's or Managers or Data Leads. Very bad way to treat the employees. 8. Benefits: Group Medical policy is there. But no other medical bills are reimbursed. During pregnancy, various type of tests are required. Different medicines are given on monthly basis. But one will not be able to reimburse them as such reimbursements are not given. The group medical policy will only be applicable if someone is admitted to the hospital for at least one day. 9. IT: Whereas during the lockdown, most of the MNC's give a laptop to each of their employees, here they did not give laptops to everyone. Many users were provided with Desktop including myself. Though they mentioned that everyone can work from HOME for indefinite period of time, still Laptops were not given. 10. Moving to US/Canada: Almost non existent. Through Internal job posting, one can apply to different roles across the organization. But, employees have to select roles within the same country. If it is in USA or CANADA or in other countries, if the employee is eligible for that role, still she will never get the chance to apply.
