Great Place to Work

Pros

Numerix is a solid company with a strong presence in the risk analytics and derivatives pricing space. The firm is growing, especially with recent acquisitions, and there are plenty of opportunities to take on new responsibilities and develop expertise in financial technology. The team is knowledgeable and experienced. The work environment is collaborative, making it a good place to learn from experienced professionals. Leadership is very supportive of career growth, especially for a company owned by PE, and there’s exposure to a wide range of clients in the financial industry, which keeps the work interesting. Overall, it's a good place for those looking to build a career in FinTech, particularly in quantitative finance and risk management.

Cons

The lack of a 401(k) match is a downside compared to industry standards, and resource constraints can sometimes mean employees need to take on multiple responsibilities. Like many otherprivate equity-owned firms, Numerix has a strong focus on financial performance, which can lead to shifting priorities and a fast-paced, results-driven environment. However its important to note the C-Sutie is very transparent around these goals. Nothing changes with out explanation or reason. Additionally, with ongoing growth and acquisitions, there can be some growing pains as teams and systems adapt. However, for those looking for exposure to FinTech and a dynamic work environment, the experience can be valuable.
