Pros

Friendly and supportive environment, managers are flexible and friendly. All of the attorneys are friendly and helpful as well. If you are looking to enter the field of law the team that surrounds you will definitely be helpful and encouraging.

Cons

Working here involves a lot of work and patience. The people that the firm helps go through very rough times so you will get your share of clients that will need more time and patience.

Pros

-You get to add legal assistant to your resume -You get a standing desk -The other employees are very nice and are fun to suffer with -If you have legal assisting experience, don't even give this place a second glance, you're already over qualified. -Literally nothing else Nyman Turkish has very little to offer you, especially in terms of pay, benefits, holidays, and how management treats you. The only reason I could possibly tell you to apply to this company is if you want to put legal assistant on your resume, and then leave after a year. For those who have some legal assisting experience, the good news is you shouldn't even think of applying here. This isn't a real legal assisting job, and you'd be better off working for a different firm elsewhere. All they want from you is filling out the social security forms, or be a call center employee. No actual legal work is done by the assistants, even the paralegal left because he didn't have much to do

Cons

-The pay is poor -The benefits are meh at best -The job is calling people to try and convince them to apply for disability and use the attorney's services, or fill out an application. So all you do is practically cold call people, and most often get verbally berated by them for hours. -The same 3 people get the weekly bonuses -The attorney's do not care for you - You are not a legal assistant, you are a customer rep/call center employee -Jason is more than happy to yell at you and/or cuss you out in front of other employees. He has little to no regard for decency towards his employees, and the Nymans will bend over backwards letting him do whatever he likes. Honestly the list goes on and on here. Nyman Turkish will do anything to make you feel like you're a legal assistant, except pay you more, listen to your ideas/suggestions, or offer better benefits. They'll get standing desks, patio furniture, TV's in break rooms that are never used, but will do whatever they can to avoid paying you a fair wage for legal assistants. Nyman Turkish also has a time on phones quota, and if you're not on the phone making calls 7-7.5 hours out of 8, then one of the unqualified managers will call you in and tell you you're underperforming. you're offered these bonuses as well, for most time on phone, most sign ups, etc. But those are always won by the same 3 people. So there's no point in trying for those quotas, but if you're not trying then you're "underperforming". Overall, Nyman Turkish is a pretty crappy place to work

Pros

The work environment is fair and positive

The pay is low and is not equivalent to national average salary of legal assistants nationwide.
