Pros

Strong work ethic for most stores High level of knowledge from employees. Most employees are auto techs with 5 to 10 years of experience and have found themselves working a parts counter. I have a formal education from a trade school, but no field experience and got hired on has a driver.

Cons

Extreme level of training. Counter training rivaled my formal auto tech training school. Basic pay and benefits.

Pros

Easy job and there are worse places to work. O'Reilly is better with bonuses than when it was just Kragen Auto.

Cons

The management outside the stores only see dollar signs. The basis of their business is a numbers game. If you don't meet the numbers it is your fault, except you have been hog tied by management to a point where you can't meet their numbers. There is a perpetual "do more with less" attitude that detracts from the services provided to the customers.
