Solid Contracting Compnay for Governemt Positions
Pros
OBXtek was a great company to help get your foot in the door of government work. The managers are wonderful and really go the extra mile to assist you on any questions that you may have. They absolutely want to make sure that you thrive. The benefits are generous and they do provide excellent assistance if you need to book business travel, undertake specific training, or understand new office technology/processes.
Cons
Once you are placed in a specific contract, you must stick with it. There was very little incentive to take on new challenging work if it was not part of the initial contract. This greatly affects career growth in my opinion. In addition, the company will not conduct annual performance reviews nor were they explicitly clear on vested vacation hours that I ultimately lost.
