Lackluster executive team Does it surprise anyone how much libraries are being defunded while the Csuite are MAGA supporters?

Pros

The people working at OCLC as smart, mission-driven and nice. Working on behalf of libraries is satisfying. Pay is decent and benefits are above average. I have decent work-life balance most of the time.

Cons

Senior leadership is micromanaging, even of workers 3-4 levels below, demonstrating a lack of trust. That's mutual, as workers are unlikely to speak up about problems for fear of repercussions. While leaders are micromanaging, who is being strategic? Product launches routinely fail and must be relaunched, due in part to unwillingness of staff to speak frankly without fear. Unclear how the VP Product is still there after several losses.
