Pros

- Some great people still work there - Most people bond over how miserable it is

Cons

Where to start. The company has no idea what they are doing. CEO took advantage of the huge growth that came with the pandemic to IPO, and you can see the share price history since then - down over 90%. Zero strategic vision. Every single person who was hired from outside the ON24 ecosystem in a senior leadership position has come and gone, with most barely lasting a year. The company is desperate for change but anyone who disagrees with the CEO is forced out or walks, which is an issue when he doesn't know what he's doing. The company has been through rounds of redundancies for around 7 or 8 quarters in a row because they're simply not profitable. The way these have been handled have been absolutely disgusting. Senior leadership and line managers would reassure people there are 'no plans' to make more cuts ... and then the next week people are let go. That's been the same cycle every time. There's zero information, no criteria given around how the decisions are made. Most of the time people find out through the grapevine before any kind of communication is shared. The cuts aren't strategic at all, either. It's all just reactionary from quarter to quarter. Team managers can just be told that morning they have 4 hours to make X amount of cuts to hit a number, and they don't care who it is. The above has totally decimated the culture. One thing to highlight and is needed as a warning for ANYONE thinking of working here: MULTIPLE people over the last 18 months have had to take sick leave, signing themselves off work due to stress, burnout and poor mental health. When cuts happen, the remaining team members just pick up the extra work and no talk at all of pay increases. Overworked. No job security. No trust in the company or management. NO plans or strategy in place for anything to change. Quarter after quarter. An environment so toxic a doctor has told people they are literally unfit to be working there. Despite the fact that numerous people have been forced to speak to a medical professional and take counselling sessions, there have been ZERO changes. The company doesn't care about mental health or the health of their employees at all. I've spoken to multiple colleagues in my time there who have broken down in tears or spoke about their need to take antidepressants to get by. Whenever you think to yourself "well it can't get worse than this", the company will make decisions that surprise you and still, somehow, make it worse. In recent rounds, the company has also targeted those who signed themselves off sick in the weeks before. It sums how this company thinks under current leadership. It's rotten to the core.
