Pros

Pay was ok, good coworkers,

Cons

Overworked, short staffed and they knew we needed more people but refused to hire anyone. Lack of anyone with experience including management, no pay raises so more experienced workers making the exact same as new employees with zero experience. Treated like kindergarteners. So much work to do that if you were busy trying to fix one problem you were then in trouble for not doing everything else at the same time that again stems from being understaffed, you could never please management. I spent more time day and night there than with my family ever and because units were never working right because everyone passed the blame to someone else so it just never gets delt with and always ends up being operators fault when that unit can't run over some IT panel issues or wiring. The last problem is they have a favorite person's problem, they have there groups of people that are always in management's favor and if your not one of them you are purposely left put of the ring of information and are expendable if they want to hire one of their buddy's later on.

Pros

Good work life balance. Genuinely enjoy my job.

Cons

Pay does not compare to rival companies. Magellan employees who have the same titles and roles make a considerable amount more than "Legacy" ONEOK employees.

Pros

Overall, ONEOK is a great company to work for. Really good pay, benefits, and perks. From my experience, HR has been great. Pros that are exclusive to the pipeline control center: recent market pay bumps have been much appreciated. In my experience, all of my supervisors have been great. Very nice working facilities and equipment and we have everything we need to do our job well. From my experience as a controller, work/life balance is good as you don’t take work home with you and you get a lot of time off. However, you can also work a lot of OT depending on coverage. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing as controllers are paid hourly.

Cons

As a pipeline controller you’re expected to do shift work, which isn’t for everyone. There’s seasons of high turnover in the control room, mainly due to controllers and supervisors taking other positions within the company. I assume this will improve after the recent pay raises. I’ve noticed management can move very slowly when implementing changes.
