How acquisitions and mergers have been handled.

HR department disorganized with no set policies as the company takes on acquisitions. Very decentralized mentally, little consistency. Constantly making changes without rational thought. Lots of meetings with little decision making. Many leaders disengaged from work taking place. Concerns about safety and compliance as approach to both are to avoid audit at all costs. Hard work not rewarded. Not clear expectations of work, but when someone crosses the imaginary line, they get in a lot of trouble or have things, including pay, taken away. Many people in base office oblivious to field work or mentality. Great deal of work surrounds documenting/showing off work and trying the next new shiny tech thing instead of actual work and supporting safe operations. Tauts work life balance and inclusion, but really not so much past the shiny surface.
