Pros

2 weeks vac from start Average benefits

Cons

Where do I start...... Market Based pay is a big sham. VP sat in the last meeting and simply stated that ONEOK will never be the top pay in any market. If you are just looking for top pay then ONEOK is not for you Per our VP.Then why is our CEO the top paid executive in Tulsa, OK? If I sat in a room with members from other energy companies in tulsa that do the same job I would be embarrased to bring up what I make yearly for the job. Your lower level supervisor's won't argue with you during reviews as they know this is true and losing people left and right because of it. Keep trying to push wellness programs to finally catch up to what the rest of the industry has had or been available for the last 5 years. Oneok just talks and preaches wellness. They don't offer anything you couldn't go out and get on your own dime and probably should. Should offer some benefit dollars for keeping fit and maintaining good health.

Pros

Located in Downtown Tulsa with covered parking garage. Onsite health clinic for those that work in Tulsa. Flexible work schedule for some. 3 weeks vacation to start. Decent entry level experience. Inexperienced engineers or fresh graduates get thrust into critical roles. (though often times with very little support or training and due to lack of employee retention)

Cons

Extremely top heavy company. The company does not face issues head-on if those issues involve anyone above a manager. They allow harassment and bullying by upper management and managers, with no consequences. Every group operates in its own silo with little to no interaction. Operations managers in Tulsa that never leave their offices, let alone step foot in one of their operating facilities. Depending on the group you end up in -very little career development or career mobility. Constant reorganization (at least in engineering roles), where the effected employee has little or no say in what your job will be. Little care is given to make sure that these moved employees have the knowledge base / skill set or will be given access to training to gain those skills. While ONEOK advertises that they do not believe in layoffs, they will move employees to ill-suited roles to get that employee to quit on their own or will fire them for under-performing. Any previous work experience (not at ONEOK) is not valued or respected, even if it is relevant industry experience. Very conservative, slow to react company. Below market pay. Very much so a "yes man" company.

Pros

Alot of great people

Cons

Bully of a boss and spineless upper management. Unwilling to care for employees unless they have a degree. Not as high on safety as they tell their shareholders .When it comes to making money . Like to tell employees “ we run thin or pay less so we don’t have to lay off.” BS
