Company at a crossroads

Pros

- Work with very talented and hardworking people - Good variety of therapy areas and pharma companies you work with - Depending on account, great opportunities to travel and attend on-site events - Remote work advantageous for many - Incoming CEO has opportunity to improve things - Probably not dissimilar to working at other med comms agencies

Cons

- Diminishing social culture (e.g. no subsidised or regularly planned social events) leading to a transactional work culture - Predominately remote working has led to superficial and inconsistent social culture and slow development and bonding of junior members - High employee turnover during last 2 years have led to efflux of talented people with slow influx of new people to re-energise teams and create upbeat culture - Low salary increases/no bonus have led to low morale and little recognition of longevity/loyalty - Salary mark-up rate insulting - Going above and beyond is not reciprocated in recognition - Slow progression, especially those in mid level - Slow to act on employee progression needs or desires - Limited effort to promote or improve variety of training/extra circular opportunities; also allowing time to pursue these opportunities - Unstable leadership has left company stagnant and directionless, incoming CEO may or may not be able to change much - Parent investment company naturally prioritises profit over employee satisfaction/needs creating disillusionment with company values
