Pros

Remote work and somewhat flexible work hours

Cons

This is a sink or swim job with no efficient training. The benefits are mediocre and there is no maternity or parental leave. There are no bonuses and every year executive leadership talks about a new bonus scheme in development but none have ever led to a bonus in the 5 years I have worked here. They pay under market value. I pushed for a raise a year ago to bring me up to market standard and it cost me a promotion the following cycle.

Toxic Workplace Environment

Pros

remote, respectful of PTO, provides laptop/monitors for WFH

Cons

There are no training or onboarding plans for new people, limited feedback/performance reporting, unclear roles & responsibilities, horrible communication from management, unprofessional conduct across teams, micro-management of mid-level employees, lack of leadership, no visibility on finances/revenue across project managers, no change control on active projects, unrealistic client expectations, etc. I've observed an overall toxic team environment which has led to overburdened employees due to staffing shortages from high turnover.
