Pros

OPEX is in very interesting markets and has a very talented engineering team. OPEX is also growing very quickly, which means new and different work for team members. The business is family owned, very stable, and treats their everyone very fairly. There is very long tenure among employees because people enjoy their work and like the company.

Cons

The overall company structure is pretty flat (which is good and bad - if you prove yourself, you can work on interesting things right away and have access to upper management).

Pros

Well run family owned company, management are a bunch of straight shooters, and expect the same from their employees. Good benefits with low employee contributions, and they will with you if you work with them. Their Industrial Automation division seems to have a bright future, though the incoming and scanning division is on the decline. Worked with a great group of guys who always helped each other out.

Cons

Incoming and Scanning division seems to be withering away, and certain service regions are better run than others. Low mileage reimbursement if you are a road warrior. No real chance for advancement from Field Tech unless you are willing to move to HQ or become an RSM.

Pros

Flexibility in day-to-day. Job security Gracious management Management does a good job of being supportive of their employees. They expect everyone to be independent in their work environment and to handle their responsibilities. As long as you do that, you will be left alone.

Cons

Technologies that are provided to the company through management are poor. Wish they would supply better equipment! I mean it is a tech company for crying out loud!
