      Pros

      Friendly staff and a good sense of team spirit from shop floor level to the first layer of supervision/management.

      Cons

      Terrible contract. Can short time staff with 1 weeks notice onto 70/80% of pay. With only one customer JLR this has happened. Salaried roles don’t pay overtime and due to excessive workloads, to keep up with deliverables expect to work 10+ hours per week over you payed contractual hours. Little to no development or prospects.

      Pros

      Salary is OK and good pension scheme. Some interesting projects. Multinational company.

      Cons

      Management always reactive to problems, lack of strategy and poor judgement. Discipline is not enforced in the shop floor and firefighting is the way to go. Astonishing promotion criteria, friendship and/or speaking the "official" language of the company is the best way to build up your career. You will even see students climbing up the ladder faster than you, just because they have the right nationality. And forget about asking for support, you will be blamed for everything but never receive a direct and honest feedback. The plant morale is quite low and the turnover is high, you will suddenly find a new person working next to you, but you will not know who he/she is and what he/she does.
