      Pros

      The team is incredible. This is made the company a market leader. And as a result we have won the business of some of the biggest companies in the world. As a product manager, that means getting the opportunity to talk to some of the most sophisticated security teams. All of this yields a huge amount of personal growth opportunities. The founders really take care of the people they hire. And all three have continued to mentor me in some form through Obsidians journey.

      Everything you would expect with a start-up that’s moving quickly.

      Pros

      Working on challenging problems that require novel solutions from both an architecture and algorithmic perspective. Lots of flexibility in work hours/location/PTO. Culture that values employees. Easy to approach anyone in the organization (including C-suite) and have either personal or work-related conversations. HQ is in awesome location.

      Cons

      Typical startup downsides--problems are not always well defined and requirements change as a solution is worked on--which can be frustrating at times. No 401k matching or life insurance offered at this time.

      They are willing pay to considerably above market rate

      Cons

      Easily the worst CEO I have ever come across Hire and fire approach means you are never guaranteed to see the next day, and you see your colleagues dropping like flies. Micromanagement.
