Pros

The company has lots of long term associates. Many over 20 years

Cons

In the same sentence the long term associates are not open to new team members . Sexism is alive and well here if your a woman step back cause they say they are all for you but it’s furthest thing from the truth . If your an older white male you rule. Unsafe working conditions due to the fact of buying cheap equipment and building. Most of the building are run down and have holes in the second floor levels so watch where you walk or you may fall thru. This company knows what to say and talks a good talk , but once your in you see the real truth . This company thinks it’s at the same level as a Walmart or Target but ohhhhhhh dear they are not even close.. Stop telling stories to lure people in the truth always comes out.

Don’t value their Leaders

Pros

Benefits are good.

Cons

The company uses and abuses management. The Regional Director uses Intimidation as motivation. The District Manager I had was totally the wrong fit for his position and had no clue how to manage his stores. Also favored SM’s who never challenged him and ignored those who did. Company gave too much control to under performing associates who complained about Management instead of listening to management and supporting those who ran their stores. Company is hesitant to improve their technology and working with ancient systems. Payroll gets cut each year more and more with tasks and projects increasing and expectations are to get all done regardless which means Management is working more. As payroll gets cut to stores new positions are created and hired externally in the Home Office. If you love long hours with little appreciation and lack of support then this is the place for you.

Pros

Easy work flow, too many unnecessary positions in the structure.

Cons

The company is great they have great system in place for merchandising and management. They are not the employee of choice as they claimed. You have to work 10 hours shift every day and they might place you up to one hour drive and they don’t care. They will watch how many hours you are working and they will get involved in how you write your management schedule.

Thank you for the feedback. If you would be so kind as to reach out to the Director of Store Operations, he would be interested in hearing about the DM and the sales pitch you refer to.
