      Pros

      Great place for new grads to get experience. I gained a wealth of knowledge and skills that prepared me for any job in the future. Education for nurses is encouraged and supported.

      Cons

      The pay was not up to par with other local hospitals. Nursing staff was over worked and unappreciated. Large amount of turnover of staff and very little ancillary staff to back up nursing. I worked under 6 different unit managers in a 3 year time span.

      Fulltime hours and occasional overtime benefits great coworkers proper training classes

      Cons

      no good leadership short staffed unreasonable denials for requested time off no opportunity for advancement

      Pros

      Very pretty locations at most sites. Most staff is nice and eager to help. Very nice annual Christmas parties. Very knowledge and caring doctors at Ochsner.

      Cons

      Large institution with lots of opportunities if they played fair. Too much work and not enough people to support the rapid growth.
