Pros

Nice simple snacks, lots of nuts, chips and soda. We have a lot of drinks, sodas and beer. There is a nice lunch on Fridays, it changes every week. You get a new nice Apple laptop. The new building is really big, I don't know why we need so much place to waste money but it is nice. Work pressure is very low, very easy pace compared to other companies. People can come and go whenever they want. Getting unlimited vacation time is easy. Nobody says no even if someone really shouldn't be going on leave so much.

Cons

The problem here is the leadership, both executives and directors. Executives are like dictators that tell every division lead what to do, and they are wrong a lot, almost all the times and then they just move to the next thing when they find out and hide the truth. Also they don't care about anybody below them, something I have not seen in other tech companies. The old leaders and new ones are equally bad this way. Engineering doesn't really have much leadership or say in anything. They always say things are great, because probably executives told them to. You absolutely must be willing to accept there is no transparency. It is like everybody is being fake in saying everything is great, especially the leadership team. All the smart people are leaving from everywhere in the company, I think most of them were from good fast companies like amazon and google, and they went and found other good jobs and left when they figured things out here aren't good. Let's see what the others do. The company had a lot of hope before, but now in engineering and product, it looks disappointing. CX doesn't look much better.

Pros

They are not scared about spending money! Crazy parties, free flowing alcohol, booking out full restaurants, new lavish luxury building and conference rooms and food are plenty so much that you would think they have a ever lasting money tree. You won't feel like you are in a startup. Truth is they still have a lot of venture capital money, which they treat the same way as a flourishing money tree. I hope that doesn't run out for us someday. The people are very nice, you will meet people who you'll enjoy spending time with. There is hardly any work pressure. Actually most of the harder workers have already left, so pressure to get things done is very much low which is nice. It probably doesn't sound good for business but these things really are good pros if you work here as an engineer.

Cons

The pros of fun spending a lot of money are balanced with a lot of worry and fear that there is no attention to the business and there is a very bad outlook. There is a lot of fake optimism and leaders look desperate now. Executives are very distant and don't spend time with regular employees. They likely find the regular employees too low to talk to anything but saying hi or sharing in a drink or making a few jokes. Good they don't totally ignores you but they make it very known that what they say matters and what you think does not even to their direct reports. You can tell executives don't care about their people, it can also be good thing if you want a relaxed environment where everyone is slow. I am now unforunately so used to it but didn't want to be. I don't think I ever spoke to an executive after orientation meetings. Don't expect to have any real leadership, or anybody who is going to mentor, help or work with you. They will treat you like a adult school kid but without giving you access to teacher or expert. Be prepared to learn on your own- and if you don't they probably won't notice anyway. All you have to do is go for a walk in the parking lot with your manager, and that is all the meeting you have. Managers are present in office, but not ever ready to help. The product team seem to be confused more now than I have ever seen, the new top leadership seems to not care, they are very lost. But they do give us things to do and never every complain about delays- so they are very nice in that way. There is no pressure at all, you can choose how little you want to work. It looks like most of the smart ones in product and marketing have been happily leaving as well as engineers, even ones that have been here a long time. This is not good. There is a big CX team, but they are like call center where we don't know them except company meetings. They are treated badly I think both for pay and morale, we have heard stories in the kitchen. They fire people a lot there. They like to outsource the job from what we see, they seem to like that the most. We don't even know when they leave or told to go away. This company is all talking secrets among the executives. Nobody really knows what is happening. Outside of the negative business outlook and no support, this could be a fun place to learn and have fun like one of the posts said. I don't know how long that is possible as a company, however if you care about what you do, this will be the wrong place to choose. I unfortunately came to this realization after a very long time. I wish I was wiser and smarter before. I hope this review helps.

Pros

People are generally nice and most people are smart. We have a brand new shiny office. There are lots of company parties and social events to enjoy time and eat with coworkers.

Cons

Everything is slow and hierarchal at the company tech-wise. In engineering, you hardly have any say in anything. Product leadership, although many people, is distant, confused and unapproachable. Engineering leadership is almost none. They tell us to be positive but don’t solve anything or help. They like to go for long walks for meetings rather than help at a desk. Other reviews stating the same are very accurate in this point. Executives live in their own world where they only talk to each other, go to offsites and generally delegate tasks to others without input. Management is distant to tech leaders and always telling what to do and find out later that they needed to think about it more. Even managers and directors around the company seem to just do whatever executives say without questioning anything. The company is not transparent like they try to say- everything is kept secret. In tech, we have almost no idea of what is going on- maybe they don’t know too or just afraid. The company fires smart people if they don’t agree with you, or people just leave. CX had layoffs so they can outsource their jobs. Recently engineers, managers and directors in product are leaving too for better jobs. Morale is low in tech and across the company as we overhear things. The outlook here doesn’t seem good for some time now.
