      Pros

      Office Depot is the place to work! We have a nice balance between work and personal life. There are a number of companies out there that honestly do not value their employees any longer. Office Depot is one company that continues to show that they do care, and value each one of their associates even through the tough economic times.

      Cons

      Working at Office Depot is rewarding, like any other company, we have our challenges, but in the end, our progress within the industry will continue to get stronger with our current leadership team in place at both Corporate and the field. Our associates will continue to go above and beyond to make Office Depot a great place to work.

      Pros

      Office Depot is loaded with people that are hard working and have the utmost integrity. The leadership of the company is open and honest and they communicate very well with all levels. I feel that we can trust them and I believe in the direction we are heading. They are individuals with a very high work ethic. I think the company is heading in the right direction.

      Cons

      Times have been tough and we've had to make difficult decisions regarding some benefits. While I wasn't happy with some of the cuts I know that they were necessary. Perhaps some of the benefits will be reinstated at a later date.

      Pros

      Environment allows an employee to perform at the best of their abilities. Self-determination is rewarded and respected. Micro-management is not common. The leadership communicates routinely and effectively via a number of channels. Our vision, values and goals are clearly articulated. Those that do not feel as though they are valued are externalists and feel this or any other company owes them something vs. an internalist that realizes they need to provide solutions and ideas that will contribute to the company's success.

      Cons

      It is a large company with many divisions, departments and responsibilities. At times it can be overwhelming with respect to all the moving parts, pieces and initiatives.
