Pros

ogilvy has a terrific brand still - most innovative and forward thinking of all the big agencies by a mile. great culture and people for the most part. miles is great and shaking things up - very needed esp in ny.

Cons

compensation is not tied to performance. lack of transparency sometimes on what's the direction for the agency and how they intend to beat the likes of crispin.

Pros

The people have a passion for what they do. Everyone pushes for the best work.

Cons

They've been stuck in an old-world agency mentality: just don't want to let go of high price tag broadcast and print-only campaigns of yesterday. Lost pitches are making them readjust their mentality.

Pros

Well-known agency with Fortune 100 clients, & engaging work if you're on the right team. Also, if you can work for a client that brings in enough revenue, you're golden and will be left alone to do your thing.

Cons

As I said, if you can get on a client that brings in enough revenue, you're golden and will be left alone. However, therein also lies the problem. Winning repeat business isn't rewarded at the consultant level. Also, there is a general and pervasive indifference to career growth and an increasingly stagnant corporate culture.
