Great company to work for

Pros

Competitive salary and benefit, great culture, great people, great products, can WFH permanently, Wellness days imply more time off (on top of regular holidays + "unlimited PTO"), company is doing great so should have staying power when recession hits

Cons

Founders too liberal and progressive imo (as I'm Republican and more conservative), but I respect everyone's viewpoint, that's what makes America great Company still hiring fairly aggressively (imo should scale back during this uncertain time as things can change quickly)

Pros

Ownership of cool problems, Okta operates at a massive scale Very collaborative engineering environment Okta tries to stay out of your way, enables you to get work done Todd McKinnon (CEO) is an amazing leader. I wish I could say the same about the rest of middle management

Cons

Management is very political. In 2 years at Okta, I've had 4 Engineering Managers. With that sort of turnover, it's tough for managers to really dig their teeth in, can feel like engineers are running the show (beyond what is typically expected of their role)
