Pros

Don't believe all the negative comments you read here about Okta. I am not aware of the specifics of every single group, but there is definitely a sense of respect for people in mine (Product group), including time boundaries (both after regular office hours and weekends/vacation) and personal obligations (family or religion-related, for instance). I've never had any work-life balance issue, and if I've always felt it's a personal choice if employees choose to work beyond regular office hours. Okta sets a high bar when it comes to hiring people, but this translates into having the opportunity to work with exceptionally bright yet humble colleagues. Okta really values humility and accomplishment, which are not antithetic and very well personified by the founders, Todd McKinnon and Frederic Kerrest. Both seem to know every single employee by name and routinely greet them by name when they walk in hallways. They're also funny and charismatic and go to great length to make sure they are as transparent as they can possibly be by sharing a lot of company-confidential data during all-hands meetings. They trust their employees enough to know that this type of data will not leak out. The level of transparency at Okta is truly unheard of. There is no sense of entitlement at Okta, which is really a "no bs" company. You are judged both on your ability to deliver and your capacity to work well with others, be they colleagues and (obviously) customers. Okta is not your typical Silicon Valley startup and maintains a professional yet friendly atmosphere, which is guaranteed by the maturity and experience of its founders in the enterprise software field. No out-of-line behavior is tolerated, which is also a guarantee that the work atmosphere stays friendly and inclusive of all genders, origins and religions.

Cons

Can't think of any at this time.

Pros

I have been working at Okta for year and a half. Its been an amazing experience. The best thing I love about Okta is that there is a lot of opportunity for growth for fresh engineers. You are gonna learn so much and its going to build a solid foundation for your future. Colleagues are cooperative and set achievable goals for you in each sprint. We are agile so you get a perfect balance between development and testing environments. It offers a great work life balance. If you do your work right and keep everyone happy, you can take as many holidays as you want. I love Okta and Im loving it more the more I stay with it.

Cons

Honestly there are no cons of working at Okta. Management is transparent enough and tells you everything that you as an employee need to know, good or bad.

Pros

Simply while no company is perfect OKTA provides a great life and culture. It is easily the best place I have ever worked and being in the technical field for some 20 years with numerous organizations I think that is representative of my last 2.5 years at OKTA! Management from CEO down is informative, transparent and driven to make OKTA a world leader in IDAAS. There is room to move around the organization if you have career goals. I am always suprised to see any negative views? My experience has been amazing.

Cons

Honestly my experience brings nothing to mind.
