      What it's like to work for the best...

      Pros

      Technically, head & shoulders above everything else. Bringing the features of a huge IAM program to companies that can't pay millions to deploy the dinosaurs. Entire company is customer success driven and there's really not a lot of huge ego's which is surprising given the level intelligence here at Okta.

      Cons

      Well, if you're remote you don't get to experience much in the way of working for a startup in San Francisco which would be fun. Other than that, day one you're equipped with the tools you need and the training back at corp is top notch.

      Pros

      Many companies impress during a loop, but once you join you quickly see the soft underbelly - product issues, customer sat issues, political infighting, etc. In my experience Okta is exactly what it appeared to be - A market leader with great technology, run by (and staffed by) people who want to build a great company with fanatic customer at the center. And I believe the same people that starting this company actually also know how to scale it - that is not too common.

      Cons

      Not a con to me, but worth noting. You do not have to work around the clock, but you better work with urgency and be very good at what you do.

      New Employee Experience

      Pros

      I am a new guy who came from a smaller company. Although Okta is larger, it still has the startup/small company feel. I met Todd (our CEO) at our user conference and he was extremely inquisitive. He asked me all about my experience so far and offered a few kind words. From a sales perspective, this place is an anomaly; the hardest workers are the most successful. I am also surrounded by sales leaders who have scaled major SaaS companies - these cats are heavy hitters and care about grooming young employees.

      Cons

      As I mentioned, I am fairly new. There is obviously a learning curve with the product but learning how to utilize resources could be facilitated better.
