Pros

There is a flexible vacation policy, plus 1 day a month off for mental health. You work fairly independently. Polite, respectful communication. Liberal culture.

Cons

- High member loads, no time for real engagement. Superficial, computer driven communication with members. - A massive push to sign up high numbers of members is bringing success rate down. - No opportunity for growth. - Less qualified coaches are promoted. - Low pay for health coaches. - High employee TURNOVER gives you a sense of instability. - Company doesn’t seem to be growing at competition’s pace.

Pros

I've been with Omada for over 6 years and have seen the company through its ups and downs. I started as one of the first data scientists at the company, but the team of me has since grown into a interdisciplinary group of researchers under the Omada Insights Lab. Because of the longitudinal health datasets we have collected since the company's inception 10 years ago, I now get to partner with some of the brightest minds in behavioral psychology and computer science to (a) innovate on constructing better measures for our long-term health, (b) products that improve those measures, and (c) a business model that pays for their improvement. The insights that Omada is uncovering about what is cost-effective virtual care for chronic disease management gives me hope for the future of healthcare. The relationships I have built with compassionate, driven colleagues from diverse backgrounds has helped me learn how to be better at my craft and at being human. The mission of the company and our steady progress towards it keeps my tanks full with purpose. I'm grateful to have had the opportunity to not only grow a significant portion of my career at Omada, but find a community and a vocation that brings me joy. If you're looking to influence our healthcare system and measurably improve people's health trajectories, this place is for you.

Cons

As with any relationship, Omada is not perfect. The main challenges with any company growing vertically and horizontally are deciding on key priorities efficiently, putting in leaders that can take the company to the next stage of maturity, and configuring an org structure to promote effective communications. However, compared to past business cycles, I have seen significantly more improvement in these areas in recent periods with more experienced executives brought in.

Pros

- Lots of opportunity to grow with Omada's complex business model and huge potential for growth - Leadership and management are clear about what Omada aspires to be and how the company intends to change the delivery of healthcare and make a difference in the health outcomes for members. - Awesome place to grow and develop if you're personally accountable for your career - Remote-first working arrangement

Cons

- As expected in a start-up, planning can be deprioritized in favor of speed - Focus on various initiatives can change quickly without closure on why
