Great but Not For Everyone

Pros

Beautiful campus, opportunity to connect with so many people from all over the world, decent community, workshops. Sometimes management and coworkers are freaking awesome!

Cons

Busier times can mean grueling workdays for service staff. That is the unfortunate nature of working in the service industry anywhere though. There is also a huge disconnect between the seasonal staff and the salaried folks working in the main office. Sometimes manager or coworkers are not as awesome. The thing is, every season is different. With new people coming in every year and returning staff coming and going, the dynamics are always changing. Overall though, I would say the culture here is much nicer than say, a large, corporate company.

Pros

Team oriented, holistic atmosphere, great staff and workshop programs, fantastic faculty, always opportunities to reinvent and bring new ideas to the table. Enjoyed my time with Omega and Loved the beautiful campus and food. The people and staff were incredibly compassionate and mean everything to me. Great friends, like family to me even now. Many staff members that were not furloughed during the pandemic took extra care to keep others “whole” spiritually.

Cons

Not pandemic proof, unfortunately Inwas furloughed. Unprecedented times, but enjoyed my stay. Lower than average pay and not as family friendly in the sense that the health insurance was unaffordable for my family and I. It’s a non profit so it was to be expected.

Decimated by COVID-19 pandemic. Future is uncertain.
