One of the worst LTCF pharmacies ever

Pros

Easy to stay busy, competitive pay rate, okay benefits, easy to get hired, key card entry, nice part of town, made sure everyone stayed compliant with company and federally mandated policies

Cons

Overworked and understaffed; high turn over; management doesn't care about employees' concerns as long as end goals are met; not all employees pull their weight and as soon as you complain to management, you become a target; wants you to work hard to compensate for the lack of staff but complains about the overtime needed to do the job

Pros

Company provided me with ample opportunities on the company ladder. Despite my lack of a college education at the time. I was proud to be part of supplying patients with needed medications, that were checked and quadruple checked before they went out the door. Unsure if these points still exist at the new location.

Cons

Company shut down local site close to my home. Could not relocate. I think the employees especially on the pharmacist support side should be paid more. There are jobs out there that are a fraction of the knowledge needed that pay equally or even more. Many employees were overworked, suffering through 12-14 hr days, extreme deadlines, at the time I was there. Hopefully these things have been addressed and solved. The site that our accounts went too at the time was, tiny, extremely unorganized compared to what we were used too, not nearly as clean and nice, in complete disarray and under construction on top of it. I think it wouldn't have been in their best interest to stay where we were. I felt bad for the employees that moved.
