Pros

Internal promotions are available, ESPP benefit is huge, middle management/individual contributors are great

Cons

Terrible culture particularly in Finance/Accounting. The negative tone is set at the top and trickles all the way down. There is no teamwork and everyone is quick to point fingers and blame others. Finance Sr. Mgmt in Mtn View are so pompous but really have no clue what they are doing. Seems the people getting promoted are just the loudest ones in the room, even when they don’t know what they are talking about. Everyone is short staffed, there is no review of anyone’s work until the eleventh hour and then there is a scramble to fix things. Absolutely zero training provided to anyone which results in inefficiencies and errors. There is way too much money spent on unnecessary travel and group meetings where the sole purpose is to get drunk, all while spending nothing on the broken systems and infrastructure. HR is completely useless and has no power when it comes to trying to address the toxic culture. Lots of yes men. Additionally, there have been too many acquisitions recently and the company feels out of control and held together with a bunch of bandaids. Extremely high turnover in recent months show that things are getting even worse.

Pros

There are some very good employees who are passionate about their "mission" at the company. Mass transit close to Mt. View offices. Flexible at home work life can provide nice balance to those with kids.

Cons

Marketo? Nope. SFDC. Nope. Cloud solutions? Nope. Silos? Yes. Gossip? Yes. Reorganization is status quo? Yes. Layoffs? Yes. Missed bonuses? Yes. Less than 10% of women in true leadership roles? Yes. If your going to jump into OMCL understand what your going to get out of it. How relevant will your career be? What are you trying to accomplish? Will you be supported? What will you learn? And those are just the beginning of what I would be asking....before signing up.
