Pros

Extremely patient centered practice. Lots of opportunity to interact with patients and doctors. If you are interested there are opportunities to move up within the company. Depending on your team this can be a fun place to work.

Cons

Compensation is not where it should be for the amount and complexity of work done. Additional tasks such as hiring, misc programs, inventory management, etc does not mean additional compensation. Administrative assistant position can become tedious. There is less opportunity to move up within the company in the DC area compared to larger districts like San Francisco and New York.

Pros

Great place to start off if you're looking to go back to school to be a medical professional or if you want experience in sales/customer service. One Medical Group provides intensive and thorough training for admin staff about sales, customer support, general knowledge about insurance/billing, and basic medical lingo.

Cons

Compensation needs to be better. Pay for admin staff was very low for the national average, and especially for the cost of living in San Francisco.
