NEVER consistent with paychecks. I had numerous employees quit on me because i couldn't give them an accurate answer for when they would receive paychecks. At least 6 people quit for that reason, leaving me to struggle to find new people or to cover shifts myself while going to school full time. I had to find "creative" ways to do my job because doing it by the book was actually detrimental to the process. We had to work Sundays as well which were the absolute slowest days and usually made little to no money at all. So a whole evening would be wasted to make $0-$15 dollars. Stand there and twiddle my thumbs while the parking lot was empty. Restaurant management was a pain as well. Summer months were a complete waste of time. I believe the company had money problems and that's why paychecks came late. The got rid of me because the restaurant manager didn't like me and didn't think i was making the job my #1 priority and try to grow the business. How could I though when the work conditions sucked and i had to ask 5 times where our paychecks were?? I sent in hours on time and still had people go off on me because of pay when I didn't even control payroll! A few months later i found out that the crew that took my place ended up losing a whole car..how that happened i have no clue we lost a couple sets of keys in my day but always retrieved them. Drove past the restaurant soon after and One Way Valet was completely gone and a new company was there. What a disaster.
